Attending: Janet Chisman, Vicki Croft, Rhonda Gaylord, Mary Gilles (Co-Chair and Recorder), Daryl Herbison, Lauren McNiece, Ingrid Mifflin, Barbara Paulson, Marilyn Von Seggern (Co-Chair), Kay Vyhnanek, John Webb, Leslie Wykoff (via WHETS), and Christy Zlatos.
Absent: Jill Palmer and Sharon Walbridge.

Meeting minutes
Minutes of the September 11 meeting: approved with one correction.
Alternative Organization Plans Reports

The green small group presented their refined organization model. Members responded to specific questions from other committee members and there was considerable discussion.

The Planning Committee received an organizational model from Audrey Bancroft who submitted one in response to the open invitation to all library personnel. The Committee reviewed the plan and several members agreed with points made in Bancroft's comments about her proposal.

There was agreement that more than one organizational model will be presented to library personnel. There was also agreement that a section dealing with committee structure, decision-making and communication will accompany the models. By next meeting each small group will pull together all materials relevant to their current model and will make copies for all Committee members on the appropriately colored paper.

Next Meeting
The Planning Committee will meet on Wednesday, October 2 at 8:30 am in the Holland WHETS room. The tentative agenda will include check-in, minutes approval and identifying strongly held beliefs about the new organization.
