Washington State University Libraries Planning Committee 07.Aug.1996 Meeting Summary Notes

Attending: Janet Chisman, Vicki Croft, Rhonda Gaylord, Daryl Herbison, Lauren McNiece, Jill Palmer, Barbara Paulson, Marilyn Von Seggern (Co-Chair), Kay Vyhnanek, Sharon Walbridge (Recorder), John Webb, Leslie Wykoff (via phone), and Christy Zlatos. Absent: Mary Gilles (Co-Chair) and Ingrid Mifflin. Meeting minutes Minutes of the July 31 meeting were approved as distributed. Invitation for Input Janet Chisman will distribute a message to library personnel inviting contribution of organizational plans to the the Planning Committee. Fall Meeting Schedule Leslie Wykoff and Chris Zlatos will check to see if we can continue to meet via WHETS on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00. Small Group Reports Sharon Walbridge indicated that her group is making good progress focusing on one model. They are fleshing it out and will be ready to report soon. Daryl Herbison reported that he is not sure if his group is ready yet ... Marilyn Von Seggern reported that her group is working on one model but wants to look at others as well. The Committee decided to aim for small group presentations at the August 21 meeting. All three presentations will be done with all discussion being deferred until the Committee has heard all three. The session will be under brainstorming rules. Next meeting There will be no Planning Committee meeting next week (August 14). The next meeting will be on August 21.
