TESTING BROWSER CONFIGURATION

We have determined that you are not accepting cookies and/or JavaScript has been turned off in your Browser Preferences.

You must enable JavaScript and accept all cookies.
Netscape Version 3.x Netscape Version 4.x - 6.x
  1. select Options
  2. select Languages
  3. make sure that both Enable Java And Enable JavaScript are checked (3.0 may not allow you to check Enable Java. This is OK but we suggest that you upgrade to a later version of Netscape.)
  4. click OK

  2. select Preferences
  3. click on the Advanced option
  4. make sure that both Enable Java And Enable JavaScript are checked
  5. make sure that Accept All Cookies is checked
  6. click OK
MS Internet Explorer Version 3.x MS Internet Explorer Version 4 (SP1)
  1. select View
  2. select Options
  3. select the Security tab
  4. at the bottom of the Security page, make sure that both Run ActiveX Scripts And Enable Java Programs are checked.
  5. click on Apply then click on OK

  2. select Internet Options
  3. select the Advanced tab
  4. Scroll down until you see the section. Make sure that Always accept cookies is checked.
  5. click on Apply
  6. click on OK

  1. Select: Tools
  2. Select: Internet Options...
  3. Click on the Security tab
  4. Move the slider for the Internet zone to Medium security.
  5. click on Apply
  6. click on OK
MS Internet Explorer Version 6.
  1. Select: Tools
  2. Select: Internet Options...
  3. Click on the Security tab
  4. Move the slider for the Internet zone to Medium security
  5. click on Apply
  6. Click on the Privacy tab
  7. Move the slider to Medium
  8. Click on OK
Notes for AOL Users
The AOL browser WILL work with MOST of these databases and journals. If you have problems using your AOL browser, obtain a copy of Netscape or Internet Explorer.
  1. To install Netscape Navigator for AOL:
  2. Keyword: netscape
  3. click on Click Here!
  4. click on Download Netscape
  5. Follow the prompts to load and install Netscape Navigator
  6. Follow the steps listed above for setting up Netscape Version 4

After installing Netscape or Internet Explorer, you may make your AOL connection as normal, then MINIMIZE your AOL window and start your newly acquired browser (NS or IE) and use it to access these services.
